Abacus Thalwil
The Abacus headquarters in Thalwil, a Swiss town on Lake Zurich, is set in a modern, multi-functional context, which houses several company headquarters and a large conference centre. The interior design project focuses on a mix of shapes and materials that create a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The entrance opens onto a large, bright central space that, like a small square, invites you to take a break in the bar area.
A palette of wraparound, natural colours gives way to a few brilliant touches, such as the small armchairs or the soft round poufs. The bar island, characterized by the presence of a sculptural black steel counter that in its dynamic forms recalls a work by Boccioni, is a welcoming space designed to be experienced as a convivial area by both employees and visiting customers.
The panoramic window from which you can admire the lake invites you to enjoy this space in your own time, for a quick coffee or a chat with colleagues.
The light wood reception fits harmoniously into the environment, becoming an integral part of the space and of the visual and material dynamics that define it. From this reception area, which is also overlooked by the management offices, there are two corridors leading to the various working stations and meeting rooms. In line with the fluidity of the spaces that characterise the other Abacus offices, the walls of the offices in Thalwil are also made of glass, underlined by a series of coloured and multi-material wings that create an atmosphere of reserve without fragmenting the rooms.
For a quick lunch break, an intimate dining room with a refrigerator has also been created.
