Fabio Gatto Treviso
The Fabio Gatto boutique in Treviso is located in the heart of the city, in a fourteenth century building. The project aims to enhance the historicity of the place, creating interior design solutions able to fit harmoniously into a context of great value. As in a suggestive boudoir of the end of the century, the furnishing elements and the display solutions are developed starting from the iconic elements of an elegant private room.
The colour palette is based on the tones of the original elements: walls, floors and beams, ranging from cream to warm wood and intense ebony, creating an interesting play of light and shade. The collections of clothes and accessories are exhibited on the wall, thanks to a system of dark “bookcase” shelves alternating with brass and glass structures and display cases that give brightness and lightness to the whole, enhancing the beauty of the original walls. The dressing room on the lower floor, which can be accessed through an antique door, has been decorated with a delicate floral motif that can also be found in the entire living room that looks out onto the small internal courtyard and in the wall of the staircase that leads to the second floor. Here the dressing rooms have been made ad hoc, creating cabins in light decorated wood, further embellished by an internal cream-colored padding that makes them elegant and welcoming.
The lighting is entrusted to a system of dark spotlights recessed between the old beams, which create a well-balanced diffused lighting. A system of woven ropes creates a spectacular safety wall for the staircase that leads to the upper floor, currently used as a warehouse.
